Uniformed Services Day

This year, 32 members of our armed services will be pulling a huge 32 ton truck all the way from Welling to Bexleyheath in aid of charity.

The army, police and ambulance service are in Bexleyheath Town Centre meeting visitors and showing off their vehicles.

The charity Beams are also at Bexleyheath Broadway.

Beams upport children and young people with any form of physical, learning or sensory impairment living in Dartford, Gravesham, Sevenoaks and the surrounding areas.

The team are getting ready to pull the huge truck from Welling to Bexleyheath at lunchtime.

Members of the armed forces are on hand to help.

At exactly 12 noon, the truck pull got underway!

We followed the truck pull live on Maritime Radio and were there at the finishing line in Bexleyheath, where they arrived 15 minutes ahead of schedule!
