World Book Day 2025!

The Famous Five series is the most loved children's books of all time. First published in 1942, the 21 books follow four young children, Julian, Dick, Anne and Georgina, and her dog, Timmy.

The books have topped a poll of most loved childhood novels. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory complete the top three.

Are you sending your little ones to school dressed as their favourite characters today?  What are you reading at the moment?  Let us know and share your pics in the comments below!

Here's what some of our team are reading.

Gary is enjoying The Real Happy Valley, by Alice Vinten.

Clive is enjoying his own book (shamless plug there, Clive!) Soul Citizen.

Claudia is enjoying this classic!  She's gonna need a bigger book shelf!

Andy Holton is reading Stephen King (during a break from planning his show, Hooray for Musicals).

Andy Sayers is never gonna give up presenting the Monday evening 80s show, but when he's not doing that, he's enjoying Rick Astley's autobiography.  (Bonus points for having a dog in the picture!)

Andy is reading The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed out of the Window and Disappeared, by Jonas Jonasson.

He says "This is the best book I’ve ever read.
I’d never heard of it, but heard two women talking about it on the tube.
I immediately bought a copy, and couldn’t put it down".

We loved the TV series, now John is enjoying the Red Dwarf book.

Meanwhile, our engineering team know a good read when they see one!  We hope they learn something!
