What to bring: Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate shoes for walking the site over uneven ground and grass areas.

How does it work: The aim of the trail is to find all 8 members of the bat family.  Purchase your trail sheet to get 8 outlines and find the posters to fill in the missing features of each bat. Find the 8 bat trail posters hidden in the gardens to see which ones match with the outlines on your sheet. Our trails are designed for all the family to participate, but you only need buy the trail sheet for each child taking part. The prize is usually small & edible, but please ask before purchasing the trail to check the suitability for your child.

A map and instructions will be on display in the Visitor Centre to show you how the trail works, including a map.

Our trails are made for family groups with a wide range of abilities, so you will need to work together. This trail has information for the dinosaur fan as well as images for those not well versed in dinosaur types. Please ask to look at the trail before purchasing to make sure it is suitable for your family.

Accessibility & Facilities: All trail sheets are bagged up with the prize so that you do not need to return and queue up again. Follow onsite signage. `There may be a queue for the trails at peak times. If you are able, ask one person to queue so that the rest of the group don’t get bored.  This event is held on uneven parkland.
