Royal Greenwich seeks residents' input on improving the Thames Path to enhance accessibility and safety and its role in connecting communities and supporting local businesses.
Royal Greenwich invites residents to share their views on how the council can improve the Thames Path, ensuring it remains a welcoming and accessible space for everyone. With the longest riverfront in London, the borough wants to enhance this iconic route for both residents and visitors.
The Thames Path is a key corridor connecting communities, offering a scenic route for travel, leisure, and exercise. To make the most of this vital space, the Royal Borough of Greenwich is reviewing ways to improve it, focusing on:
-
Accessibility, safety, and overall enjoyment – ensuring the path is inclusive and welcoming.
-
Signage, amenities, and infrastructure – identifying where improvements can be made to enhance the user experience.
-
Better access points – exploring ways to make it easier for people to reach the Thames Path.
-
Boosting local businesses and tourism – ensuring the riverfront plays a role in supporting the local economy.
Residents are encouraged to participate in the consultation before Monday, 21 April. The feedback gathered will help shape the recommendations made by the council’s Overview and Scrutiny Committee, ensuring the Thames Path meets the needs of those who use it most.
The consultation is a valuable opportunity for the community to contribute to the future of one of Royal Greenwich’s most treasured assets. Have your say and help shape a better Thames Path for everyone.
