Bromley defeated Altrincham 3-1 in the playoff semi-final, securing their place in the Wembley final against Solihull Moors with massive fan support.

Sunday afternoon saw Bromley hosting Altrincham in the playoff semi-final of the Vanarama National League before a sold-out Hayes Lane crowd, with a place in the Wembley final to play for.

The visitors started strongly and kept good possession in midfield, with an occasional foray forward. One move down the left wing saw the ball swing in for Linney to steer home during the half hour.

Bromley began the 2nd half with more purpose, and it was little surprise when Weston headed an equaliser on 51 from a left-wing corner. Five minutes later, the Ravens had a long throw from the left touchline that bounced nicely for Arthurs to head home, and the lead was increased on the hour with a superb left-foot drive from 20 yards out by Weston.

Altrincham pressed in vain to get back into the game, but when the final whistle blew after 5 minutes of stoppage time, Bromley had seated the place at Wembley by 3-1.

Tickets for the Wembley final went on sale Monday morning at 10 a.m., and by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, some 12,000 Bromley fans had pledged their support for next Sunday afternoon's final against Solihull Moors.
