Teen murdered in Woolwich

A teenager has died following an incident in Woolwich on Sunday.

The incident happened in Eglinton Road near Ripon Road on Sunday evening at around 6.35pm.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended the scene and found a boy who had been stabbed. 

He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after. 

His next of kin have since been informed. 

No arrests have been made as police enquiries into the circumstances continue. 

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called approximately 18:35hrs on Sunday, 22 September to reports of a disturbance on Eglinton Road, SE18.
