England defeat Greece comfortably in UEFA Nations League Clash

Curtis Jones and Morgan Gibbs-White celebrate Jones' goal

The England national football team has maintained top spot in their latest Nations League clash following their 3–0 victory over Greece and have moved into first place in their Nations League Group above opponents Greece. England scored the first goal of the game in the first half after only 7 minutes with Aston Villa centre-forward Ollie Watkins scoring his fifth goal for his country. England's second goal came in the second half following an own goal scored by Greece defender Odysseas Vlachodimos in the 77th minute while the third goal was courtesy of Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones who scored his first-ever goal for this country. This victory moves England into first place in their Nations League Group level on points with Greece but ahead in the table due to having a higher goal difference of +8 compared to Greece's goal difference of +5. England's final game of the group is due to take place against the Republic of Ireland this Sunday at 5 PM and they need to at least get a better result than Greece's who are due to play Finland (although England's result will not matter if Greece fail to either win or draw their game against Finland as this guarantees England top spot).
